Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on various floor types. Look for automatic hoover that let you choose between several modes, utilize their charging docks to automatically empty and clean stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behaviour.
When I tested the S1, it was able to locate our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rug.
The S1's docking station automatically empties its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this can vary based the amount you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. In order to do this, you'll have to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to prevent them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. This robot combo is easy to install and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or refilled. It has a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are solid as well, though it does sometimes get hung up on the small carpets or area mats that I have in my house (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual boundary in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with two spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one room to another without reversing direction which is a great feature for homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a wide distance over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and streamlined. automatic hoover should be simple to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It is accessible via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to monitor its progress from any location. Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to pick up cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we've tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home, which will allow it to enter the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The K10 Plus also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as frequently. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the costs associated with using the device.
