Its operating noise is also relatively high, which suggests it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.
Like many robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that allows you to refill its clean water as well as empty its dustbin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. It uses laser mapping and a camera to build a map of your area, so it knows where not to go. It has an object/obstacle detector that can avoid things like dog bowls and toys (but not Poop), unlike many vacuums.
It has other great notable features, like the self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can reach places that other mops don't. You can also customize the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
It features the same multi-room smart mapping that is found in the S8 and can distinguish between carpets and laminate with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to cut down on time, it can even avoid mopping rooms that aren't soiled. If you have a variety of flooring in your home and don't want to spend extra money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping capabilities it is a great option.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can handle regular maintenance and touch-ups on messy messes that are wet, this robot is a great choice. It comes with a variety of features including self-emptying dustbins and an additional water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It's surprisingly quiet and can navigate around furniture legs and socks with ease. It's unable to pick up tangled rug tassels up, and its battery drains faster than other models we've tested.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that provides powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used in smaller spaces. It is very quick and quiet and can maneuver tight spaces well. It also does a excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a good amount of suction power, and it's possible to take a photo of any object it picks up (i.e. chew toys or socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they won't be removed during subsequent cleanings. The photos are secure, and are not tied to your account.
It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, however it isn't as good at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and it basically drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
